CUPE Local 389 is offering ten scholarships in the amount of $1,000.00 each.
These scholarships are offered annually for the advancement in any branch of higher learning of any child graduating from Grade 12, whose parent or guardian is a member of the Canadian Union of Public Employees Local 389; or of any child graduating from Grade 12, who is a member of CUPE Local 389.
The member or one parent or guardian of the applicant, must be a member in good standing of the Canadian Union of Public Employees Local 389 (North Vancouver) and must be employed by either:

District of North Vancouver
School District No #44
North Vancouver Recreation and Culture Commission
City of North Vancouver Public Library
District of North Vancouver Public Library
North Shore Neighbourhood House
Northlands Golf Course
Village of Lions Bay
North Vancouver Museum and Archives Commission
These scholarships are awarded for the advancement of the student in any branch of higher learning.
The scholarship is named in honour of CUPE 389’s long-time
president Cindy McQueen who retired in 2022.
